Career Guidance

There was an event on “Career Guidance”  which was held in 2018 at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies­Basar, Telangana.

This show was coordinated by the RGU­Basar Alumni Association.

Mr. Purushotham (2k9 Batch) and Mr. Kiran (2k10 Batch) , Alumni of RGUKT  were the chief guests of this event. Being the alumnus of B.Tech(B09 and B10 batch), they shared their experiences of being a

student here and later. Mr. Purushotham was a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in B.Tech. He first explained about his failures as a student after he completed his M.tech in Microelectronics and VLSI at IIT Hyderabad. He expected a rank below 100 in GATE – 2015 but ended up with AIR 565 . He Could not clear BARC , also Missed 2 gold medals Branch and University topper just by a margin

of 0.03 CGPA. Missed ISRO (1 st attempt) .  Did not clear AFCAT – SSB . He Missed IES – 2016 by 9 marks out of total Marks – 1200. But even then, with the same spirit again and the urge of

serving the society, took a one­year break, prepared and appeared for the exam. This time, he stood with AIR – 21 at CSIR – UGCNET, 2015 , he got seat in VLSI in  IIT-Hyderabad , Selected as the Direct PhD student at  IIT – Madras in CSP . He Stood first in Imprint National Essay competition and got invitation from Rashtrapathi Bhawan for Visitors’ Conference 2015. Job offer from Airport Authority of India . Campus Placements : MediaTek – 12 lpa and Eaton – 10 lpa . Selected as Scientist - C @ ISRO AIR – 43 @ GATE – 2017 secured State 31 st  rank all over the state. Then he also explained about Why are we confused to choose our careers ?

Then, he told about why students are confused to choose careers. He also explained about various paths after B.tech.He also explained about entrepreneurship in different fields.

Then, the session was continued by Mr. Kiran who secured a GATE rank of 74 in 2017. He explained about GATE strategies. He also explained about ESE pattern and strategies and explained about Territorial army.

The event was then followed by the interactive session where there was huge group of

students who actively took part. Finally, the session was a good success and a mark of respect

towards our University by our Alumni.
